First off... for those of you not in the know "Barbershop" is a style of singing, I keep thinking people are gonna think it's to do with the hair cutting place... The convention will be held in Wales on the 23rd to the 25th of May, though i'm not sure exactly where... Even though it's a mens convention, my Sis will be attending with her quartet: Breakthrough. It'll be great seeing her and the girls as well as Monkey Magic (Mens) quartet; who came down to Cornwall to coach our group "Cornish Connection" In... No comments

Well... here goes... As my nick indicates i'm a vocalist, a Bass... I sing in a Barbershop chorus, i'm the youngest member with the oldest being in his 80's. We sing at village halls, churchs for cost and also for charity. Barbershop style singing has lost most of it's popularity although now it's regaining it slowly. Pffft... more like seconds, anyway... my chorus was recently on BBC Spotlight on 5th March (St Piran's Day) We sang at a certain supermarket in a certain town, which wasn't as bad as i thought it would be... it was the 2nd concert/singout on that day; in a pub infront of those of similar or younger age... for some reason i find singing infront of elderly people less initimating, the 3rd and final singout with in a sparcely filled pub... so I had no need to worry. Yep.. my chorus had a special singout on the 14 Feb 2009, in our local town, outside, for a new shop. Pros: We got applauded, got good photographs taken and mostly we got some... public recognition... No comments

I'm new to this whole dating online thing. So if anyone wants to give any type of advice, feel free to do so. Anyway, I know I feel passionate about music. I wouldn't call myself a musician but I can sing pretty good and I can play the harmonica, piano, and electric guitar by ear a little bit. So I guess that has to mean something, right? lol. I wouldn't want to make a career of it though, it's more a hobby and interest than anything. What can I say I like that Old Time Rock n' Roll. Oh and I know this is more of a cartoon passion but I love Alvin and the Chipmunks. One comment
