My universe in 12 notes or less

Music is probably one of the defining characteristics of my life. I love the mood it can put you in, the euphoric state that comes with listening to a favorite song or orchestra. My tastes have opened up in the last few years, expanding from classical to include rock, some pop, a little jazz and whole lot more. I don't just listen to it, though. I play it and write. I've played the piano for 20 years and the trumpet for 17. Am I a virtuoso? Far from it, but I love playing both instruments. I write for brass quintet, marching band and concert band.
